The Grade 6 students of St. Margaret Mary CES in Vaughan, Ont., and Boom 97.3 radio station teamed up to help make Christmas a little brighter for the Make-A-Wish Canada, which creates special moments that boost the spirits of critically ill children.
These students made “Rainbow Loom” bracelets and sold them at the school’s Christmas market. The whole school community was proud that the students had worked so hard to raise $240 for this worthy charity – so much so that Principal Julie Snyder contacted Boom 97.3 to let them know about this project.
Boom 97.3 D.J. Stu Jeffries was so impressed that he featured the story on the “Tell Me Something Good” segment and, thanks to the support of Blue Cross Canada, matched the donation.

Thank you to these Grade 6 students, the staff of St. Margaret Mary, Boom 97.3, Stu Jeffries and Blue Cross Canada for raising almost $500 for Make-A-Wish Canada just before Christmas!
